Kamal Aderibigbe, MD

Kamal Aderibigbe, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a passion for restoring patients' form and function through fracture care and joint replacement surgery. With locations in Des Moines and Ankeny, Iowa, Dr. Aderibigbe specializes in hip replacement and trauma surgery.

Born in Nigeria, Dr. Aderibigbe grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, before pursuing his medical education at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the University of California San Francisco.

Dr. Aderibigbe is one of few surgeons in the area specializing in direct anterior hip replacement surgery, a procedure that offers patients a smaller incision, less pain following surgery, and shorter recovery times. He is a strong advocate for evidence-based medicine, which he incorporates into his clinical practice and decision-making process.

Dr. Aderibigbe offers a wide range of orthopedic services, including multiple types of hip surgery and joint replacement. Dr. Aderibigbe likes to stay active in his free time. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer and golf, traveling, and rock climbing.
